Frequently Asked Questions – EXPO Kubus Lightbox

Questions about connectors, profiles, and assembly—find answers about the PIXLIP EXPO system here.

Do PIXLIP EXPO cube corners need to be screwed together?

The connection between the PIXLIP EXPO Kubus Winkel and Profile is tool-free and achieved solely through a plug-in connection. Stability is provided later by installing the textiles. Nevertheless, screws are included so that the Kubus can also be repositioned or suspended without the textiles installed.

How much weight can the PIXLIP EXPO suspension kit support?

The maximum tensile load of our PIXLIP EXPO cube suspension set is over 500 kg. This means even large cubes can be installed using just 4 suspension points.

Why does a PIXLIP EXPO Cube have a different LED than the EXPO Lightbox?

The construction of an EXPO cube and an EXPO lightbox is fundamentally different. While the LED modules in an EXPO lightbox are inserted into the profile and must backlight up to two fabric sides, the EXPO cube LED is suspended in the center of the cube and backlights up to 5 cube sides simultaneously.

Do you always need a suspension kit?

No, a suspension kit is always required when the Kubus itself is suspended from the ceiling; the lower textile can then also be backlit. If the Kubus is placed on the floor, the KUBUS LED can also be placed on the floor.
