Quick overview
Lightboxes are often connected in L, T, or cross configurations to provide stability. However, when a lightbox stands alone in a room, it needs a solid base. Baseplates, also called footplates, ensure a secure stand - especially for tall structures or on trade show floors.
Which components do you need?
The following parts are used for assembly:
- Baseplates ( available in narrow and wide versions )
- Long screw ( one per baseplate )
- Nut ( for securing )
- Rubber pads ( if the display is set up on a parquet floor, for example, rather than on trade show flooring )
Narrow or wide baseplate?
Simple decision guide
- Wide baseplate: recommended for assembly heights of 3 m or more for greater stability.
- Double-sided baseplate: ideal when the lightbox stands freely in the room.
- Single-sided baseplate: ideal when the lightbox is positioned directly against a wall or at the edge of a stand.
Step-by-step assembly

Tool-free assembly
The assembly is intentionally simple and requires no additional tools.
1. Screw the screw onto the baseplate.
2. Combine the aluminum profile with the corner connector and guide the screw through the system hole.
3. Screw on the nut and tighten it against the other nut.
4. Continue assembling the frame as usual.
Practical tip: The screws are hollow. This allows the power supply to be routed through the foot into the lightbox, which makes cable management much easier.

Adding feet afterwards - here's how
You can also install baseplates on a frame that has already been assembled. Simply lift the frame slightly, slide the baseplate underneath, position the baseplate so that the thread is beneath the system hole, screw it in, and secure it with the nut.
